Lucy is interested in the relative roles that ecology and the environment play in driving the divergence and persistence of disparate biological forms over geologic time. These interests cluster broadly around macroecology, macroevolution, and biogeography, as well as the methods and biases involved with working in the fossil record. She hopes to investigate processes at various spatial and temporal scales through an integration of biological and paleontological concepts and methods.
