His work: Josh joined the team at UCMP in June 2003 to work on Web-based education and outreach materials.

Career path: Josh graduated from UC Berkeley, with a major in Integrative Biology. His artistic talents and interest in the Web led him to a career in Web design after graduation.

Why UCMP? "I'm really enjoying this job because it combines a number of interests for me: the Web, biology, art, and an interest in promoting science literacy."

On science education: "It's important that more people understand evolution and basic biology. An informed perspective has major impacts, particularly in public policy and the environment."
