In memoriam: Francis Clark Howell

Francis Clark Howell

Francis Clark Howell, described as "one of the giants of paleoanthropology" passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at his home in Berkeley. Perhaps his greatest contribution to the study of human origins was the integration of multiple areas of research — geology, ecology, and primatology. Clark has had a long association with UCMP and he will be sorely missed. Read the full UC Berkeley obituary.
