The crinoid gut

The alimenary tract of most crinoids is a complete digestive system with the mouth and anus ventrally located near one another within the tegmen, a short esophogus that leads to either a U-shaped or coiled stomach, and a short intestine that terminates at the anus. The gut is adjoined with digestive glands, but there are no kidneys.
