The Molecular Phylogenetics Lab (MPL) supports University of California Museum of Paleonotology and University and Jepson Herbaria researchers who use molecular markers in their work. Research in the MPL spans a broad range of taxa and addresses many different types of ecological and evolutionary questions.

Most researchers in the MPL are affiliated with the UC Berkeley Integrative Biology Department. Prospective graduate students interested in using the MPL in their research should contact the professor (see people page) with whom they plan to work.
